Why "Maremma a Domicilio"?

Born in response to the COVID-19 emergency, Maremma a Domicilio (“Maremma at Home”) was founded by a group of young Maremma farmers, members of ANGA Grosseto (the Grosseto Chapter of National Young Farmers’ Association), with the goal of bringing their farm products directly to the homes of clients.

Do I need to create an account to place an order?

No, it is not necessary to create an account to be able to place an order. However, it is useful to have an account in order to review past orders, save your address and payment information, repeat an order with one click and receive exclusive offers.

Is there an order minimum?

There is no order minimum, however, to be sure that the delivery arrives fresh and intact, it will need to be packaged with specific requirements which include, for example, dry ice for refrigerated products. This incurs a minimum added cost that can be depreciated by including more products in your order. We recommend making larger orders to minimize the packaging costs, but that decision is obviously left up to the client.

Shipping

Where does Maremma a Domicilio ship?

We deliver in all of Italy and Europe.

How much does shipping cost?

The shipping cost depends on the delivery address. The rates are based on weight and are calculated during checkout. Starting rates are as follow.

Italy: €8 + VAT
Europe: €20+ VAT

How do I track my order?

At the time of shipment, you will receive an email from the courier with the tracking number for your order.

How often do you ship orders?

For orders containing fresh cheese, shipments are made from Monday to Wednesday to avoid the risk of the package being stored over the weekend.

All orders received Monday before 5pm will be shipped on Tuesday.
Orders received after 5pm on Monday and before 5pm on Tuesday will be shipped on Wednesday.
Orders received after Wednesday at 5pm and before Saturday at 5pm will be shipped on Monday.
Orders received after Saturday at 5pm and before Monday at 5pm will be shipped on Tuesday.

You will receive an email from the courier at the time of departure of your shipment from Grosseto.

What are the expected delivery times?

Delivery time depends on the delivery address. When your order is shipped, you will receive an email from the carrier with all the information to track the shipment.

Barring unexpected problems, or particularly remote locations, here is a list of delivery times estimated by our shipping company:

Italy: 2-3 days
Sicily, Sardinia, Calabria: 2-4 days
Europe: 3-6 days

Perishable products are packed in thermal containers with ice to maintain freshness.
For the last two months, all shippers have been experiencing an exponential increase in traffic due to problems relating to the Covid pandemic. This has caused a complicated situation for the shipping business.
There may be possible delays with respect to the estimated delivery times over which we have no control.

My package has been delayed or is in storage, what do I do?

For any problems relating to delivery (no one was at home, the order has been placed in storage), you will receive an email from the DHL where you can schedule a new delivery time.

Payment & Returns

Which types of payment are accepted?

We accept payments by credit card, PayPal and Apple Pay.

What do I do if my product arrives defective?

If a product arrives broken or defective, send us an email to info@maremmadomicilio.it with a photo of the damaged product and we will inform you on how to proceed, or, if applicable, with information on when the delivery company will come by to pick up the item/s.
Upon returning an item, you may decide whether to receive a refund or a credit to be used on a future order.

It is possible, although rare, that one of our products is defective due to the artisanal quality of its production. Keep in mind that this is due to the non commercial practices used to process each of our quality goods. Please let us know if you find one of these products and we will inform you on how to proceed with the return and refund.
Upon returning an item, you may decide whether to receive a refund or a credit to be used on a future order.
